Approach

Since the explorers first brought cocoa from the New World, individuals, cultures and countries have all put their own mark on the art of chocolate. Chocelotl brings it back to the origin, with quality cocao products sourced and produced ethically in the Maya mountains of Belize. The mystical Yucatán is just a bite away. 

Challenge

Chocelotl was a brand as much about the history of chocolate as the quality of the chocolate itself. The branding needed to reflect the the culture of the world’s original chocolatiers while also relaying the decadence of the product. 

Everything about this brand needed to feel as rich and indulgent as the chocolate itself. Abstracted Mayan landscapes with dripped gold lining, gold foil logo based off of Mayan glyphs, and bright colors reminiscent of the vibrant palettes used by the Mayan people all tie together the quality, history and culture behind Chocelotl.
